Julia Smith

I am a 45 years old and and have 4 kids. Born in Tulsa Oklahoma. Lived in Texas for most of my youth and then moved to Knoxville in 1992. Was a commercial flooring installer for almost 20 and have been a commercial flooring estimator for almost 3 years.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I was married for 20 years but have been divorced for almost 4. I have 4 children. Boy 24, girl 23, girl 22 and a boy 18. I also have a grandson who is almost two.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I was a commercial flooring installer for almost two years. I am currently a commercial flooring estimator. I love being able to see what new and renovations are going on on the community.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Chuys, Calhoun’s, Olive Garden and Wasabi

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Since 1992

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Australia. Never been there and just think it would be a fun experience.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Tombstone is my favorite movie and favorite show would have to be Game of Thrones.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Always be honest, even if hurts someone’s feelings.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Driving a car around a NASCAR track.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Crowder

 

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Jim Carrey because I love to laugh and I think he would be a blast to hang out with. I would pick Chuy’s for lunch.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The people are usually friendly.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Growing with the company I work for and working towards a good retirement.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
This one is difficult for me because I’m a pretty open person.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The Bahamas.

June, Thanksgiving and Saturday.

My kids.
